Mike Ward

How did you begin biking? I started out racing my friends around and reading BMX books from the library. From there I met people around town who rode and found that you could do stunts on them. I learned bunny hop from my cousin. I got my first bike at 14 with a paper route. I learned to grind from my friend Derrick and started getting BMX plus and ride magazines and rapidly live the life of a BMXer.

Favorite style of riding: Everything except dirt

Favorite spots: new places

Favorite trick: bar spins, 360’s, flips when their good

Bike related injuries: broken ankle, broken thumb, broken nose, luckily no scraps and bruises

Hardest trick: Flips, I struggle on them

Greatest accomplishment: Ride and traveling without having a job

Biggest riding influence: every thing and one around me

Dream: Yes, every night

Motto: have fun, don’t stress

How did you come to know Jesus Christ? I was taught about God since I was born. I didn’t acknowledge his importance until I was 19 and realized how bad I needed help in my life.

How does Jesus work in your life? Jesus works in my life by watching over me and blessing me with good health, a functioning brain and just about everything else.

How did God call you to do what you do? I’m doing what I’m doing now because God allowed the pieces to fall into place.
